NZ Outdoors & Freedom Party announce Sue Grey as candidate for Tauranga

29/03/2022

The NZ Outdoors & Freedom Party is thrilled to announce that its co-leader Sue Grey will contest the 2022 Tauranga by election following the recent announcement by Simon Bridges of his imminent retirement.

Sue and the Outdoors & Freedom team have been “walking the walk” around New Zealand to challenge the undermining of rights and freedoms and the loss of democracy.
Sue has a large following in Tauranga, which has suffered loss of democracy both in national and local government- with Local Government Minister Nania Mahuta recently announcing that the extension of the Tauranga Council  Commissioners beyond this year’s local body election.

Sue has spoken to very large audiences all over NZ on many freedom, democracy, human rights and resource allocation issues.
She is determined to continue her efforts to inspire and empower individuals and communities to reclaim democracy for the people.
By-elections are a great opportunity for communities to make their voices heard by voting for change.

Any vote for the parties in government is a wasted vote, as they are already in Wellington. “None of them stepped up for our people or our freedoms when we needed them over the last two years. Where were they when we asked them to listen to our fears,  our ideas and our solutions,” says Sue Grey? “Every one of them refused to help us with petitions, questions or even a meeting. Instead every one of our elected MPs was silent, arrogant and lacking in courage. We can’t trust any of them to represent us. It’s time for someone new who will stand with the people and teach the rest what democracy looks like”.

“This is a great opportunity for Tauranga to make a stand and reclaim democracy by voting for a new style of leader who has a long track record  of speaking up and fighting for the people. If the people want change I’m committed to continue to be their voice. We’ve done so much from outside the system. Just imagine what our  incredible team  can achieved if the people of Tauranga give us a chance to get into the inside.
We are all ready for a new style of politics which encourages both unity and diversity. New Zealanders have proven their incredible spirit despite unprecedented challenges of the last few years. This is a great opportunity to take back our freedoms, our rights and to start to build a new style of politics which puts people first”. Said Sue
