Molesworth 1080 Deer Poisoning by OSPRI

Some time ago we wrote to the Chief Executive of Landcorp, Steve Carden, Minister of Conservation, Hon Eugenie Sage, Minister of Agriculture, Hon Damian O’Connor and OSPRI regarding the mass poisoning of hundreds of deer on Molesworth station back in October 2017.  Some, like Damian O’Connor neither acknowledged nor responded, the others’ responses confirmed that neither OSPRI, DoC nor Landcorp considered this an issue to address.  NZDA Marlborough branh are collating the extent of the kill in an attempt to inform OSPRI prior to two further planned aerial 1080 drops on Molesworth – a trophy herd is at risk here.
