I was born and raised in the beautiful Tairawhiti/Gisborne. I left NZ in my early twenty’s to travel abroad. During this time I lived in Australia, Papua New Guinea and China. While living in China I began working as an English teacher in Kindergarten. This is where my desire to become a qualified ECE teacher started. I arrived home in 2010 and began studying my Bachelor of Teaching (ECE). Fast forwards to today and I have two tamariki of my own and am working at a Kindergarten in Gisborne.
My interest in politics started when studying the history of Aotearoa/NZ. Having an understanding of our country’s past and the issues we have already experienced should of helped us to create a better future, right? I am concerned that this is not the case and that we are not learning from our past mistakes. A new government is elected and the issues that concern us are never really addressed.
I joined the Outdoors Party to bring about systemic change. I know we have heard this type of talk before but I can promise you we are a party by the people for the people. We want to see Real Democracy. We are not career politicians. We are everyday people wanting things to change.
I am running as the Outdoors Party East Coast candidate. Please join the movement and vote Outdoors Party 2020.
