To all NZ Outdoors Party Members,
The AGM of the party will be held on Saturday 21st March at the
Tongariro Hall, Turangi, at 10am. An agenda is to follow. The Tongariro
Hall is in the right hand carpark of the Turangi town center and close
to the “Turtle Pool”.
This year is an election year and it has been announced that the
election will be held on the 19th September. It is imperative we all
make an effort if we wish to be part of the change we wish to happen.
Your party has grown dramatically in the last 6 months with membership
doubling and a lot of new policies. We still are sourcing policy ideas
so please email us f you have something you would like looked at.
The party now has 42 candidates being approved by the board and if you
have an interest in standing in a seat then please contact us now.
There is plenty of accommodation around Turangi from back packers just
across the road from the hall, camping grounds and high class lodges.
For those who have camper vans you are welcome to park up at my place in
Grace road.
The AGM will also feature a meet the candidates session as well as guest speakers.
On the Sunday morning an escorted walk to Lake Rotopounamu by Raeul
Pierard who will explain and show the spiritual nature of this amazing
prehistoric place.
This weekend coincides with the people power horse hikoi from Taupo
being organised by Trim Gauge protesting the use of poisons and we
welcome any who wish to participate in on our AGM although members will
come first as this is our AGM and the hall only accommodates 150
persons.
There will be some activities on the Saturday night and this is still under planning.
If you have any matters you wish to have placed on the agenda please advise.
A list of accommodation places all within minutes walking distance follows.
